How to Purchase Tickets
Routs

 

Purschasing Tickets

  Please pre-purchase a ticket at the automatic ticket machines at these stations. Numbered tickets cannot be obtained after boarding. Passengers who change trains at Shinyatsuhiro Station or Sendai Station will be provided a numbered ticket.
  Please take a numbered ticket when boarding at these stations. Those with commuter passes or prepaid tickets do not need numbered tickets.
  JR Kyushu Station
          Manned station. Operation days and time varies according to station.

 

Train Transfer Tickets

 Passengers with numbered tickets who will be changing trains at Izumi Station will be provided a “transfer numbered slip (ticket)”. Please inform the train operator before paying the fare when exiting the train.

Please place the “transfer numbered slip” with the “connecting fare” in the fare box at your final destination. (Connecting fares are shown on the fare panel.)

 

Free Adjustment Tickets

  Fare adjustment tickets are available at the fare boxes where fares, tickets, etc. are deposited at Shinyatsushiro and Sendai Stations. Please give the fare adjustment ticket to a staff member at the JR Kyushu ticket gate.
 

Fares,Numbered Slips, and Tickets

  1. In the cases of 【1】 and 【2】 pictured below, please drop your fare or ticket and numbered slip into the fare box next to the driver when exiting.
  2. In the case of 【3】 pictured below, please give the fare or ticket and numbered slip to a staff member at the platform or ticket gate.

     ※An in-train announcement will be made about how to turn in tickets, fares, and numbered slips.

 

Boarding and Exiting

Single-Car Train
For a single-car train, please board from the back door and exit from the front door.

 

Tow-Car Train
There are two types of two-car trains: One-way boarding and exit doors on the first car only and boarding and exit doors on both cars. Details will be announced within the train.
For trains with boarding and exit doors on both cars, please give your ticket or fare and the numbered slip to a staff member at the platform or ticket gate. Details will be announced within the train.
